Here are a few ways to prevent cyber crime:
1. Disclosure of any personal information about oneself.
2.Avoid sending any photography online and allowing it to get in the hands of strangers.
3.Ensure that anti-virus software's are are installed and updated.
4. Certify that one backs up data frequently to avoid virus' and suffer misuse and loss of data.
5. Never send your credit card number over any website that isn't secure.
6. If one has children, one must be cognizant of the websites he/she utilizes to prevent any exasperation or deprivation.
7. The utilization of firewalls may be beneficial.
8.Public websites run by web servers must be physically separate protected from internal corporate network.
9.Block spyware attacks and use encryption for sensitive files. Example: tax returns

1. Do not engage in conversation with people you don't know. People on the other end of the computer may not be who they claim to be. 2. Keep your passwords protected and do not keep sensitive material on your computer. 3. Make sure to keep a record of your personal business transactions. 4.
